ABOUT US

Pride Education offers expert after-school tutoring in WRITING, READING and MATHEMATICS for students aged between Year 2 to 8. Located on-site at Oteha Valley School and Red Beach School, we provide a supportive and fun environment that will nurture and challenge your child’s academic growth. We focus on building self-confidence, resilience and perseverance towards learning as we believe these qualities are the major building blocks for educational success.

My name is James Thomlinson (a.k.a. Mr T) and I am the founder of Pride Education. What makes Pride Education such a wonderful and empowering environment to learn in, is the incredible tutors who work here.

Our tutors are all passionate, enthusiastic, fun-loving and experienced teachers.  We pride ourselves on our ability to build a rich and genuine relationship with your child. Our aim is to inspire all our students to love learning by delivering meaningful, relevant and innovative lessons.

Your first consultation visit with Pride Education is FREE!

During this consultation, we will explain how Pride Education operates, carry out an assessment of your child’s ability, discuss areas of concern, set goals, explain grouping options and create a plan to ensure that your child is successful while with us. 

 

Simply fill in the enrolment form provided and we will arrange a suitable time to meet.

One-on-One Sessions

Each session focuses specifically on your child’s needs. As there are no other students involved, it is perfect for kids that are overly self-conscious or require extra support. It provides an environment free of peer judgment where students can work towards their learning goals, at their own pace.

Small Group Sessions

*Recommended option

In many ways, small group sessions are more productive and powerful than one-on-one sessions. These sessions provide the opportunity for your child to be exposed to the rich language, ideas and understanding of the other members in their group while also having their individual needs catered for.

*Group options are dependent on availability of compatible students.

 

How do we decide which group your child goes into?

Option 1: WE CHOOSE

We group your child with other Pride Education members we deem suitable.

Option 2: YOU CHOOSE

You can group your child in a pre-arranged group with friends or family members of your choosing.

We keep group numbers between 2 – 4 and recommend grouping students by age or ability.
